Taradale Standpipe

The Taradale Water Standpipe is located in Roderick Street, near the Taradale Mineral Springs Reserve. The Standpipe is for use by registered water carriers or individuals with an AvData Key or account.

Access hours are restricted with the aim of reducing noise and impact on neighbouring properties.
The opening hours are:
Monday to Friday: 8:00am to 8:00pm
Saturday and Sunday: 9:00am to 5:00pm.

How to apply for an AvData key and account
Individuals with a water carters’ license may purchase an AvData key and be set up with an AvData account at the Civic Centre in Castlemaine. For immediate access to standpipes in our shire simply fill in the AvData application form, present your drivers and water carters licenses and pay a $35 fee for an AvData key.

Applications are forwarded to AvData to set up the account. AvData bills customers for their water usage monthly.

Have an Avdata account and electronic key and want to use our standpipe?
Fill in an AvData application form with your existing key number and present your water carters license and drivers license to our staff at the Civic Centre in Castlemaine. If you need immediate access to our standpipes you will also be charged a $35 fee for an AvData key. No fee will be charged if you do not need immediate access. Please be aware that it may take up to 5 business days until your existing AvData key is registered to be used on our standpipes.
