Taradale CFA
Taradale CFA was thought to have originally been located behind the old Taradale tennis courts and moved to the corner of Jackson and High Streets in the 1950’s. The present station was opened opposite the Taradale Hall in 2012.

The Taradale CFA operates junior and senior brigades and provides advice and services to the town and surrounding area.

Taradale Landcare
Taradale Landcare is a community group working to protect and enhance the land and wildlife habitats in and around Taradale.

Activities include working bees, community planting days, wildflower and bush walks, property visits, talks and
information sessions and shared meals.

Taradale Cemetery Trust
The Trust administers the Cemetery, which is divided into denominational sections with a memorial path for cremated remains. Headstones can be dated back to 1858. Enquiries from the public about utilising our beautiful Cemetery are welcome.

For those who prefer the memorial path, a niche can be purchased outright or reserved for future use.

Taradale Mineral Springs Festival Committee
The Taradale Mineral Springs Festival Committee plans and manages the Taradale Mineral Springs Festival, held on the Labour Day long weekend in March each year.

The Festival attracts over 2,000 visitors who can enjoy live music, local wines, diverse cuisine, arts, crafts, a raffle and a spinning wheel with fabulous prizes.

Taradale Progress Association
The Taradale Progress Association Inc has a long history. In past times, it was a vital fundraising body for improvements to the Taradale Community Hall. These days the council maintains the hall and funds upgrades, in conjunction with the hall committee.

Taradale Recreation Reserve
The Recreation Reserve is one of the highlights of Taradale. Located in Potts Rd, to the east of the town, facilities available include The Max Robinson Oval, cricket nets, two tennis courts, a tennis pavilion, playground equipment and undercover seating adjacent to the Taradale Cricket Club pavilion.

Taradale Community Forum
The Taradale Community Forum Inc comprises local residents and representatives from community groups in Taradale. The Forum is an opportunity for local groups and individuals to share their activities and ideas with each other and to coordinate projects for the town. The Forum meets quarterly and all are welcome to attend meetings.

Taradale Historical Group
Whether you are researching your family tree or the history of your property, the Taradale Historical Group can help you uncover what you are looking for.

Based in the renovated Taradale Mechanics Institute in High Street, the Historical Group manages an extensive collection of local records (e.g. council rates, school, cemetery records) as well as numerous historical documents, articles, photographs and maps.

Taradale Produce Swap
This community event takes place from 2 pm to 4 pm on the 4th Saturday of every month at the Pavilion in the Taradale Mineral Springs Reserve.

Share food, plants, seedlings, seeds. Share knowledge and a love of growing things. If you don’t have anything to swap, come for a cuppa and a chat as we learn and share our produce and our knowledge. Everyone welcome!

Taradale Cricket Club
The Taradale Cricket Club fields teams in the A Reserve and B Grade competitions of the Castlemaine and District Cricket Association. Since 2008 the Taradale Cricket Club A Reserve Grade team has appeared in every final and won two each of the two day and one day premierships.

Taradale Hall Committee
The Taradale Hall is the Neighbourhood Safer Place in the event of an Emergency. Formed in 1926, the Taradale Hall Committee manages bookings, usage and maintenance of the building in conjunction with the Mount Alexander Shire Council. Events held in the Hall include the annual Taradale Ball, concerts, art exhibitions, town meetings and private functions.
