Located in central Victoria, a 1 hour drive north from Melbourne, Taradale is nestled in a picturesque valley of cleared farming land surrounded by native forests and built historic legacy, including the 1862 Taradale Viaduct.

2024 Taradale Mineral Springs Festival Raffle

The Mineral Springs Festival Committee is a not-for-profit community group. The Festival Committee shares all funds raised between the volunteer groups and causes in the town. These include the Taradale Primary School, the Taradale CFA, Taradale Historical Group Inc, Taradale Cricket Club, Taradale Landcare, Taradale Progress Association and the Taradale Community Forum Inc.

Located just an hour by freeway from the Bolte Bridge and on the Bendigo train line, Taradale is easily accessed from Melbourne, while there is a bus service to Castlemaine. The area offers a number of good quality bed and breakfast and hotel facilities for those wishing to explore central Victoria.

Taradale is surrounded by much natural beauty in all seasons and includes a number of historic buildings and points of interest for visitors of all ages.
