The Taradale Fairy Dell lies on land at the corner of Lyell and De la Beche Streets that was part of the original Taradale Parks & Recreation reserve. The Fairy Dell adjoins both the existing Taradale Recreation Reserve and Taradale Mineral Springs reserve.
The Fairy Dell was developed by the Taradale Walking Group amongst a thicket of elm trees adjacent to Back Creek and provided a magical adventure for children with gnomes and other figures dotted amongst the saplings. Some years ago the Fairy Dell was unfortunately targeted by vandals and so the gnomes and figures were removed however it is still a beautiful experience for people of all ages to wander along the paths and over the wooden bridges through the thicket of trees. All visitors are welcome to enjoy the peace and gentle tranquility of this special place.
